More than 429 patients are being benefited and it is expected to reach 50 deliveries per day and 1200 per month of medicines such as: Metformin, Glibenclamide, Insulin, Enalapril, Captopril, Acetylsalicylic Acid, among others for patients with chronic diseases.

Socios En Salud (SES) in alliance with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Dirección de Redes Integradas de Salud Lima Norte (DIRIS), has implemented the service of “Medicamentos a su Casa”, a strategy that allows the delivery of medicines to the home of patients who do not have the possibility of going to the Health Facility due to the limitation generated by the pandemic under Covid - 19 in the delivery of medicines that counteract other chronic diseases such as diabetes, arterial hypertension, among others.

“We are aware that we cannot accomplish this strategy alone; that is why it is essential to make alliances like these, in favor of the most vulnerable populations with the objective of seeking equity, breaking the barriers of social injustice and access to quality health” Diego Portillo, coordinator of the Medicamentos a su casa project.

“It is a very significant strategy, which not only benefits the vulnerable patient, but also the medical staff who are in constant exposure, in this way we avoid crowds”Álvaro Maldonado, general practitioner and director of the Villa Esperanza Health Center in Carabayllo.

“Day by day we reach out to inaccessible and remote places. However, that matters little or nothing to us, because we know that we are helping those who need it most.” Jean Ávila, a driving force behind the Medicamentos a su Casa project.
