The Policlínico Socios En Salud (POLSES), a level I-3 health facility, celebrates a new anniversary this November 25, consolidating its position as a benchmark in comprehensive care. During the last year, the facility has strengthened its people-centered care model, expanding services, adding strategic alliances and bringing the right to health closer to historically excluded communities. This anniversary marks not only another year of operation, but one of expansion, innovation and high quality care.
In this period, POLSES managed to consolidate its position as the only private center in the country accredited by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) to provide sensitive tuberculosis (TB) treatment, in addition to operating through a public-private partnership as a TAR center (for antiretroviral therapy for people living with HIV) in the eastern area of Lima. This is in addition to specialties such as cardiology, pediatrics, psychiatry, endocrinology and rheumatology. A recognition that reaffirms the technical capacity of its team and its commitment to public health and the national response to high-impact diseases.

Results that strengthen access to comprehensive care
Results achieved during 2024-2025 reflect the growth of POLSES. In total, it provided 6,561 care and 14,694 services in various medical specialties, clinical laboratory, x-rays, ultrasounds and pharmacy. This diverse and accessible offer has allowed more families in the city of Lima, especially in the eastern part of the city, to have access to comprehensive and reliable care. Each service provided reinforces the vision of Socios En Salud: to accompany people from a human, warm and evidence-based care, bringing modern science closer to people.
Among the most important milestones of the year was the support to the integrated health directorate (DIRIS) Lima East in providing free access to chest X-rays for people affected by TB, allowing for a faster diagnosis and timely follow-up of affected cases, as well as contributing to community surveillance of this infection.
The Socios En Salud Polyclinic provided more than 6,500 care services in the last period and offered nearly 14,700 services in various medical specialties.
Diagnostic innovation and specialized care in TB and HIV
One of the most significant advances of POLSES is its consolidation as a center specialized in TB and HIV. In addition to leading the implementation of the TB-LAM test -a urine test to diagnose TB in immunosuppressed HIV-positive people-, POLSES is recognized as an inclusive and respectful environment for the LGTBIQ+ community, where care is offered without stigma or barriers.
Its feminization program and access to antiretroviral treatment are provided from a rights-based approach, with dignity, confidentiality and permanent accompaniment. This comprehensive, people-centered model embodies the mission of Socios En Salud: to provide care that not only treats diseases, but also recognizes identities, histories and contexts, strengthening trust and access to essential health services.

New POLSES Strategic Partnerships
During this year, POLSES also strengthened strategic alliances with organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and SOS Children’s Villages, bringing health services to the migrant population and to abandoned children and adolescents. These groups often face multiple barriers to access to health care, so the care provided represents an indispensable clinical, emotional and social support.
Another key action was the signing of an agreement with the Peruvian Association of Health Care Providers (APEPS) to provide care for people with tuberculosis. This agreement marks the beginning of direct coordination with the EPSs, helping to close care gaps for people affected by this infection, in addition to adding new opportunities for growth and sustainability for POLSES. These partnerships reinforce the facility’s capacity to continue expanding coverage and ensure continuity in the treatment of diseases of high health priority.
POLSES and its community expansion work
Community engagement is a hallmark of Socios En Salud, and POLSES took this approach to new territories over the past year. Through the program called “Casas de la Salud”, the polyclinic conducted free medical campaigns in highly vulnerable areas such as Carabayllo (North Lima) and Manchay (East Lima), where the demand for care is significantly higher due to limitations of access, infrastructure and resources. These interventions not only offered consultations, screenings and preventive guidance, but also the possibility for entire families to learn about a friendly and accessible model of care.
All the services mentioned above, plus the start of various health research programs in this new year, are evidence of the growth of a necessary and self-sustainable initiative, without losing its essence: to be an inclusive health space, with equity, quality, innovation and people-centered care. POLSES has become a point of reference for health services in the eastern area of Lima, a bridge between the community and highly specialized services, and a model that demonstrates that accessible health is possible.
On this anniversary, Policlínico Socios En Salud reaffirms its commitment to continue expanding services, strengthening alliances and bringing quality care to those in need. Its mission remains clear: to accompany, care for and ensure that every person, regardless of their origin or condition, has access to quality health with equity.
