Refurbishment of the laboratory of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital

In the framework of the component to provide care to those affected with TB-HIV comorbidity, of the Global Fund Project to fight AIDS, TB and malaria, interventions are planned with both strategies in San Juan de Lurigancho, one of the largest districts of Lima and with a high burden of TB and HIV morbidity.

In this TB-HIV comorbidity component, the strengthening of the laboratory of the San Juan de Lurigancho hospital was considered, which will be provided with equipment for innovative tests for the diagnosis of tuberculosis and its resistant forms as well as tests for the monitoring of TB/HIV co-infection.

For this work of “Conditioning of the Microbacteria Laboratory of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital”, a technical dossier was prepared by the Socios En Salud in close coordination with the technical team of the National Institute of Health and the Directorate of Tuberculosis Prevention and Control, and was designed in accordance with the regulations and standards in force of the Ministry of Health.
